October 2024 - Honing Skills at Hands On

With apologies from several members, numbers were down for the September meeting but that did not impact the interest in the five stations set up to cover different aspects of woodturning. After the noticees etc, everyone dispersed to a station of their choice to learn and practice where possible, before moving round to cover all the topics on offer. These were lathe maintenance with Pete Hawes, sharpening with John Turner, green wood turning led by Mo Draper, using the skew with Fred Mitchel and offcentre or eccentric turning with Mike Gordon.
