Members met in May for a hands on session led by Lynn Chambers. Lynn showed us how he turns a kitchen witch, a novelty item bringing good luck. Lynn mounted a 3"x3"x8" piece of oak between centres, turned it to round with a spigot to fit the chuck. Lynn’s engineering background came to the fore as he worked to a precise plan, parting in at the required divisions and turning the profile of each section.
